Andrew Malcolm in the LA Times:

The fragile, overused speech aid was little more than 2 years old. No immediate cause of death and no autopsy were announced.

[...] The deceased Teleprompter is survived by numerous siblings and offspring, all also named Teleprompter.

Michelle Malkin:

I hear Sheila Jackson-Lee is working on a congressional resolution honoring TOTUS.

The White House has not yet decided on an open- or closed-casket viewing.

Allah Pundit:

Graphic photos of the remains are already on the wires. Exit question: Who’s going to take the fall for this? If only there were a simpleton in The One’s inner circle, one sufficiently childlike as not to resist being made a scapegoat, perhaps with a history of antipathy to TOTUS and who heyyyyyyyyy!

It’s always sad to watch a prolific statesmen fall from grace. Today, WH journalists witnessed just such a tragedy as TOTUS 1 plummeted to the ground from above, crashing rather un-statesmen-like at Obama’s feet. Now all that’s left are some shards of glass and a mix of wire and metal destined to be sold off in the first official State Ebay auction. The remnants briefly lied in state in the WH until the janitor arrived.

Moe Lane speculates that it was suicide.
